Luxury corporate gifts that feel premium, not flashy
Short answer
Luxury corporate gifts feel premium because of the materials, the finish and the way they arrive, not the price tag or the size of the logo. Choose one beautifully made thing over several average ones, brand it quietly and present it well. Check the recipient’s gifts policy first, especially for clients.

Studio
Signs a gift will feel flashy.
- The logo is the biggest thing on it. Many premium brands brand quietly. Follow them.
- Price is the point. An expensive gift that isn’t useful or personal reads as showing off, and can raise policy questions.
- Gadgets with a short life. Tech that dates in a year stops feeling premium quickly.
- Packaging as an afterthought. A great product in a plain mailer loses much of its effect.
Bespoke pieces and packaging.
When nothing in a catalogue is right, design it. Studio is Go Swag’s creative and innovation practice for bespoke products, custom packaging, brand activations and custom technology.
A bespoke piece takes longer than an off-the-shelf gift, so start early and agree a sample before the full run.
Check gifts policies before you send.
Many companies and public bodies limit what their people may accept. Ask, or keep the gift modest, before you choose something expensive for a client.
In the UK, the Ministry of Justice’s guidance on the Bribery Act 2010 says genuine hospitality and promotional spending is an established and important part of doing business, and the Act isn’t meant to criminalise it. It also says that, where a foreign public official is involved, the more lavish the hospitality or spending, the greater the inference that it’s intended to influence them. Keep client gifts proportionate, open and well timed: not in the middle of a tender.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check your own policy and, if in doubt, a legal adviser.
Plan the timing.
A typical managed order takes 3–4 weeks from brief to delivery, and samples usually take 1–2 weeks. Timings vary by order, and premium finishes and bespoke packaging need the sample stage, so start early.
Worth knowing
In PPAI’s 2025 research, nearly 70% of respondents said high-quality materials or finishes make a promotional product look and feel premium.

Questions about luxury corporate gifts.
How much should a luxury client gift cost?
There’s no right figure. Spend enough to buy something well made, and stay within what the recipient may accept: many companies and public bodies set limits in their gifts policies. If you don’t know the limit, ask, or choose a modest gift presented well.
Are luxury client gifts allowed under the Bribery Act?
The Ministry of Justice’s guidance says the Bribery Act 2010 isn’t meant to prohibit reasonable and proportionate hospitality and promotional spending. Lavish gifts, or gifts timed around a decision such as a tender, carry more risk. Keep gifts proportionate and open, and follow both your policy and the recipient’s.
How do you make a corporate gift feel personal?
Choose for the person, not the brand. Add a name or a short note, pick colours they’d wear and time the gift to something real: a project finished, a contract renewed or a milestone. Personal touches matter more than a bigger logo or a higher price.
This guide is general information, not legal or tax advice. Check your own gifts policy and the recipient’s, and take professional advice where you need it.
